The CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+) certification is tailored for cybersecurity professionals responsible for incident detection, prevention, and response through continuous security monitoring. There are two exam codes for the CySA+ certification

Key details of the CySA+ exams are as follows:

• Number of Questions: Each exam has a maximum of 85 questions.

• Types of Questions: The exams include multiple-choice and performance-based questions.

• Length of Test: The duration for each exam is 165 minutes.

• Passing Score: To pass, candidates must score 750 (on a scale of 100-900).

• Recommended Experience: It is recommended that candidates have Network+, Security+, or equivalent knowledge, along with a minimum of 4 years of hands-on information security or related experience.

• Languages: The CS0-003 is available in English, with versions in Japanese, Portuguese, and Spanish expected to follow. The CS0-002 is available in English and Japanese.

   

The CySA+ certification validates the capability of professionals to use intelligence and threat detection techniques, analyze and interpret data, identify and address vulnerabilities, suggest preventative measures, and effectively respond to and recover from incidents. This certification is designed for roles such as Incident Response Analyst, Security Architect, Cybersecurity Engineer, Threat Hunter, Cybersecurity Analyst, Vulnerability Analyst, Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst, Application Security Analyst, and Threat Intelligence Analyst.
